Phlebo Press® DVT Intermittent Pneumatic Compression (IPC) system is used for prevention of deep vein thrombosis in patients who are at risk. It works by applying external gradient circumferential compression to the legs or to the soles of the feet, in a gentle pressure wave that mimics the action of natural walking. This increases blood flow and prevents venous stasis.

intermittent compression works…the many clinical papers onintermittent compression show that the method is effective in preventing thrombosis and compares favorably with pharmacological prophylaxis.
